The Wine Palate, Lisa Perrotti-Brown

2023 Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon
"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot) sashays out with fragrant notes of violets, dried mint, star anise, and forest floor, leading to a core of blackcurrant pastilles and boysenberry preserves, plus a hint of Sichuan pepper. The full-bodied palate is plump yet energetic with a lively backbone and fine-grained tannins, finishing with a minerally lift. Nearly 50% of the fruit comes from Sacrashe Vineyard this year."

2024 Bob's Ranch Pinot Noir
"The simply mesmerizing 2024 WALT ‘Bob’s Ranch’ Pinot Noir has an insanely complex and dense nose with dark truffle shavings, blackberry compote, black cherry and hints of forest floor. The palate is dense and layered with serious underlying verve and flavor density. Great ready for loads of mouth-watering acidity. The finish just won’t stop. Enjoy this otherworldly Pinot Noir now and over the next fifteen years to come."
